Katie in her blue dress!

Hello, it's me, Manderly, again!  I have a very special 2nd post for you today from StampArt Design by Kathryne.  Kathryne is a designer for Whimsy Stamps but has her own blog and store, also.  My Katie today is from a new line Kathryne has started called Sweet Impressions.  I'll be showing you another image from the Sweet Impressions Collection on the March 20th Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge post.  These images are so sweet and innocent looking.  Just a joy to color.  I think we'd agree that Kathryne is one talented Lady!

Here is Katie in her blue dress:

A close-up of Katie:

Isn't she just preciousThe sentiment comes as a bonus with the image!  Kathryne also draws fantastic and fun bears and many more whimsical designs!

By the way, what color would you use on Katie's dress?  This image would be a perfect choice to make up for our challenge at Penny's this week- Use Your Favorite Color!  Hop on over to StampArt and say hello to Kathryne, then hop on over to Penny's to see my Teamie's makes, and then go make your project!  Don't forget to come back to Penny's and enter so we can see your special artwork!  I'd like to see your favorite color, too!  Mine isn't blue, but Katie is standing on it (teehee)!

Me and my Bright Spots bid you a fond ado!

Joy & Esmeralda

Hello Friends!
Happy Wednesday to youAny Bright Spots yet today?  Yep, if we look, I think!  I'll be on the lookout, and you be too, okay?

Joy and Esmeralda...well, I didn't know Esmeralda is a Disney character, number one!  She is categorized under Sassy Studio Designs "Once Upon A Time" so I figured she must be famous.  I Googled her to see if I could find her dress colors, and lo and behold, there she was- a Disney movie!  Her hair color is wrong.  The real Esmeralda has dark hair.  BUT, I did this card for Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #116, with my Sister-in-law, Joy, in mind.  It's was her birthday on the 25th, she is very much a joy, and ohhhh, sooooo lively!!!  Yes, a lively, fun one that makes others laugh.  Happy Birthday, Joy!  I love you! xxxooo  You've probably figured out that Sassy Studio Designs is one of our sponsors this week at Penny'sHere is the lively and JOY-ful Esmeralda:

I love that red-checked paper.  I just got a little pack by My Minds Eye...boy, it sure is hard to pull off that first sheet!  Why are we like that? LOL  It's funny.  We get supplies to use then don't want to use them! LOL

Here she is a little closer.  Colored her with Prisma Pencils.  Just happened to have had the butterflies made already and they are colored with Copics.  The die cuts are from Spellbinder's Moroccan set, I think it is.

That's it from me today.  I'll see you again in just a minute as I have one more special Penny's post today. But I will say my goodbyes now- I hope your days are full of sunshine and Bright Spots this whole week!  Oh, please stop by Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge and see my talented Teamies work!  And while you are there, enter your "Use Your Favorite Color" project!  Yes, my favorite color is in my card, and it is in the smallest area colored! LOL

Bye for now!

So glad we are FOREVER FRIENDS!!!

Yes, I am glad we are Forever Friends because I am a day late in this post...we still friends?  Ewww, I hope so!  Forever Friends fortnight challenge this go is BEARS!  Now how fun is that?  One of our sponsors is Bugaboo, so I did another Scene It, this time Scene It-Birthday Bears.  Love these digis as you can size them to your actual card size and not add much else if you like.  My plan was to do just that but as you can see in the picture of Birthday Bears, they didn't stay in the lines!  Truthfully, I am late because I had to recolor this.  I colored my cake and bears almost to match so it looked like a big glob of brown in the middle! LOL

Here you go with FF Challenge #56; Theme- Bears; Image-Birthday Bears, Scene it by Bugaboo:

Glossy Accents on the frosting and icing of the chocolate covered cherry; purple glitter everywhere else!  The shiny words are left over confetti from a birthday party.  I picked up that green sucker hanging from the bow at the bank or doctors office about a year ago and just knew I would use it someday!  Kept it safe ALL summer long so it wouldn't melt.  You know us and saving everything...never know when you might need a special embellie! LOL!

Well, crafting buddies, I hope you like these blue birthday bears.  See you at Forever Friends Challenge!  I am really looking forward to that!
Your Forever Friend,
Manderly

Eureka! A Lace Angel!

Happy Wednesday to you!
It's Penny's Paper-Crafty Weekly Challenge #115 time!  Sing it like the Howdy Song! LOL  And....we have the theme, Anything Goes!  And...we have 3 wonderful sponsors this go, too!  All our sponsors are wonderful, but 3, wowzers!  For my make, I received the lovely "Lace Angel" by Eureka Stamps.  Here she is:

Just the image:

Colored with those Prisma Pencils again; took a few different Memory Box dies and cut them up into flower sprays; added a few, well, a little more than a few, Hobby Lobby gems and finished off with a Tim Holtz Word thingy and a bow.  Lots of DPs there in the back.

That's it!  Lace Angel is on her way to my Momma who just adores angels.  My head feels a little cobwebbed this morning, so short and sweet.  I hope you like Lace Angel and I hope you will stop by Penny's this week and see what my talented Teamies have been up to.

Lots of hugs from,
Manderly

Willow and the Heart Apple Tree

Hi ya' all!
I was trying to think of some clever title but it just wouldn't work so you get the name of the image I am showing you today- Willow and the Heart Apple Tree by the artist Claire of Hope Jacare Doodles.  She is one of the digi designers that you can find at the StitchyBear Store!  This is actually 2 digis that I merged together.  Which one is Willow?  One Stitich At A Time, Stitchy's Weekly Challenge, has the theme "Girly" this week.  How about joining us?  We adore seeing your makes and you just might win some digis too!  If you are one of those Tom Boy types that I envy, there is lots of Girly inspiration from my talented Teamies on the challenge blog. LOL  (I hope you laugh at that!)

A closer look at just the images:

Made it the usual way- colored with Prisma Pencils; paper-pieced the middle of the tree and decorated with new Memory Box dies (fantastic  prices from Dutch Paper Crafts).  Hoping you like her.

That's it from this girl this Sunday morning.  I think I may take a computer hiatus for the day...sound good?  Ya right! LOL  Don't forget to look for those bright spots this week.  I betcha find a bushel full!

Thank you, thank you, thank you ever so much to my new followers!  It is wonderful to have friends, isn't it?  No, I don't think I will be on hiatus from my computer because I just know I would miss out on something!  Hate that!  See you in a couple days!

Your friend,
Manderly

I've got nothin'!!!

Think about this...I've got nothin' but I have everything.  Does it make sense?  Yes, perfect sense!  I haven't really got nothin,' but I have everything!  My family, a home, a wonderful husband, a pup who adores us, coloring pencils and paper, a BFF, and so much more- I have you!  So though I don't have much in material things, I have everything!  But this poor cutie below here, with her Empty Pockets, she has nothin'!!!  No pennies to give for a birthday present.  No wonder her name is Empty Pockets.  She is part of the Shrugger's Collection from Fred She Said.  The collection comes with a boy shrugger, too, and images with pockets in and pockets out, along with lots of sentiments.  It is a darling collection of digis that you would have a blast coloring and making up into a project.

Fred She Said is one of our sponsors this week at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge, #114.  Our other sponsor is The Paper Shelter.  You can see their darling images and some more Fred She Said from my Talented Teamies over on the challenge blog.   The Paper Shelter has really lovely images.  Our theme this week is "Use Your Favorite Color Combo."  Now that is a fun theme!  Julie really thinks up some great ones!

We sure hope to see your artwork with your favorite color combination this week at Penny's...I am really looking forward to this!!!  I wonder if there will be any wild color combos?!

Thank you, new friends, for joining  up with me and becoming a follower.  I have met the most wonderful people.  See, I have everything!  Bright spots...yes, that's what I'm talking about!

Bye for now!

Ohhhh, yes, She Love Me!

She Loves Me!  How can she (or he) resist this little guyA digital image from Crafty Sentiments Designs, he is so suave and debonair with his shy good looks and bouquet of roses  for his sweetheart:

This is my last creation for Crafty Sentiments, I am sorry to say.  It's been so much fun to color their stamps and digitals.  There are darling new Sping and Summer releases to choose!  The Inspirational Blog is a good place to see examples of these colored up, along with lots of other goodies for your inspiration.  Almost forgot, the theme this week is none other than- Valentines!  A closer look at "She Loves Me:"

A little bit of chit-chat:
I mailed "She Loves Me" off to my "special Sis" (my sort of Sister-in-law), whose husband had hip surgery about 2 months back.  Well, a few days after his surgery he fell and broke his femur- on the same leg as his hip surgery!  So sorry, Curt!  We are hoping you get healed up very soon!  Anyway, sent this card to Sis instead of a get well card to Curt, thinking she could give it to him from her for Valentine's Day.  I hope it cheers them both up!  I love you, Sis and Curt!

The rest of my chit-chat:
Yesterday I mentioned that I was almost at 100 followers. Well, being who you all are (the nicest and most talented people in the whole wide world, no exaggeration!), I went over 100 to 101!!!  My goodness!  I am sort of speechless (for once).  I thank you with all my being.  You are so very kind to me and leave the lovliest comments.  I wish I could put my heart in yours so you would know how touched I am and how much I appreciate you.   Thank you!!!   I keep saying this, but I really am almost ahead on DT work, so I hope to make it to YOUR blogs real soon so as to see your lovely artwork and leave you comments!

Wishing you a good week.  Lots of Bright Spots today!
Your friend,
Manderly

Eve

Eve.   When you hear that name, what comes to mind?  Well, maybe Eve in the Garden of Eden, but ever an Eve like this?

Uniquely beautiful, isn't she?  You can tell right off who this image is by- the amazing artist Rick St Dennis!  He is one of our sponsors at Forever Friends this fortnight!  Along with MilkCoffee...ever seen a MilkCoffee image?  Wow, they are the ones with that "cute little digital image shop."  Wonderful images.  Our theme this go is Anything Goes!  An all time favorite.  OH goodness, I forgot to tell you!  I've joined up with Forever FriendsThey have graciously taken me onto their fortnight DT!  Such a wonderful challenge, as you well know!  The DT is soooo talented.  Please go take a peek at what they have come up with for your imspiration.  Plus, did you know FF runs a Monthly Challenge, too?  So you can enter both!  We have a fantastic Candy-Give-Away running this month.  Lots of goodies in this one!  Now how fun is that???!!!  Lots going on at Forever Friends...you won't want to miss a single thing!

Here is a little closer look at Rick St Dennis' Eve:

An easel card with an oval base.  Eve is colored with Prisma Pencils; paper pieced the lower right leaves; used Serifina Heart die by Memory Box to grace the front, along with a few dragonflies, topped with a red bow.  The paper is a new one I just received this week, (so hard to pull of that first sheet-lolol!!!) called Kraft and Black.  Well, that's all for this creation!  Eve was very challenging to color but oh, so fun!!!  I hope you like how she turned out.

Another WOW to share...I am at 99 followers!!!  I remember a year ago when Chrissy was my first follower.  Thank you so much to my new friends, and an extra special thank you to ALL of you who take your time to follow.  It feels so very nice that you would like my work enough to see what I have made.  You may have no idea what you have done for me, but then again, maybe you do understand.  Anyway, thank you each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!

We sure hope to see you at Forever Friends this fortnight!  You are important to us and we love, love, love seeing your artwork!

Hoping you have a special week with plenty of Bright Spots to guide your way.  See you tomorrow!

Your Friend,
Manderly

Hi!  I'm writing you from Penny's Paper-Crafty Weekly Challenge!   This week our challenge theme is Ribbons and Bows.  Our sponsors are Lily of the Valley and Bugaboo...not bad, huh?  I chose Ava and Deacon Love Word...
Don't they look like young love?  Well, with a LOVE  word that big, I guess they would, now wouldn't they? LOL  I paper pieced Ava and Love over Deacon, here is a closer peek at just the image:

Quiet Contemplation

SSshhhh...we might disturb her....oh, heck, yell if you want to.  I want you to be comfortable here!  Yahoo!  Yipee!  Jump for joy and sing songs of mirth!  Sometimes my silliness gets away from me, you think?

Today we have Quiet Contemplation by Teri of Delicious Doodles.  Her images are sold in the StitchyBear Store along with many other great digital artists that are difficult to find anywhere but the Stitchy Store. We showcase these images weekly at One Stitch At A Time ChallengesThis week our theme is "Not a Square"; here is my first attempt at "not a square" card:

A little closer look. Quiet Contemplation's robe is actually longer than shown here:

Teri does such beautiful artwork.  Colored with Prisma Pencils; the top piece is a die from Spellbinder' Moroccan Motif set with a round card underneath; the fan is vellum DP interlaced in a scroll die cut

You can win digis of your choice if you enter this week, wouldn't that be great?  My team mates at OSAAT have great ideas for you on "not a square" projects.  So head on over there...would love to see you this week!

Bright Spots can be very quiet.  So quiet in fact that we miss them.

My best to you!  I hope you have a very good week.
