Hanging by a Kite!

Hello All!
Gosh, at most places in the world it is a New Year- Happy New Year to you!  I have 3 hours left till 2013.  But, since this is an Aussie Challenge, it is New Years Day, so I think I can say this is my first post of 2013!  And I am happy it is A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge!

I have Isla for you, just hanging from a kite with her little cousin, one of the Larakin boys!  UP, UP AND AWAY!!!

c

Isla is colored with Prisma Pencils, cut out and placed on water colored pencil background, dotted with Ice Crystals Glamour Dust.   The kite is a die cut from my BFF!  Also the hearts.  The dragonfly and sun are stamps that have been colored then coated with Glossy Accents.  Such a fun and sassy card!

We Faerie Girls will be on vacation for a month so this will be a month long Celebrations Challenge but the A & T Challenge will be going as usual.  See you back here on Feburary 1st!  Until then, watch for Faeries and Bright Spots.  Go fly a kite!

Going Fishing

Hello again!
Here is a very cute "guy" image that I think makes into the nicest card.  He is "Going Fishing", although my hubby says this boy has "Gone Fishing."  Hubs made me up a whole story about the little guy kicking the can of worms, flying them all over the place after kicking the can, because he was mad at not catching any fish...spoken by a true Fisherman!

Here is Going Fishing by QKR Stampede:

Colored with Prisma Pencils; added a double bow.  I think this is a great card for a boy or man.

I am still looking for Bright Spots...can you point me to one?  Just one will do!

Bear But#

One more to show you tonight...he is named Bear Butt, yep, Bear Butt!  I wonder why???  LOL  I love this image by Meljens.  I don't think any more needs to be said as this image is worth a 1,000 words!

Ummm, a close up.....

I really like this image.  Perfect for a guy card.  Colored with the Prisma Pencils like always, adding a few swallows to fly around his head...maybe eat that bee he is looking at (following the honey?); sewed the panals using cool guy papers and Kraft, finished off with bows of cord and ribbon.

That is it for me this evening.  I'll have one for you in the morning and then we have Crafty Sentiments Designs on Tuesday, so I hope you come back for that one.  It's a real cutie of an image and a fun challenge ahead.

My best to you, very special Followers.  I appreciate each of you so very much.  Oh goodness, I wish someone would lead me to a Bright Spot!  Maybe wait till morning tho as it's almost bedtime!

Fancy Mouse!

Hello!
I hope your holiday was wonderful because you are all so wonderful!

I have a quickie to show you this evening named Hamish Mouse by Stitchy at the Stitchy Bear Store...

A
Isn't he the cutest?  His expression looks as if he is so thankful!  Colored with Prisma Pencils with a few WOC roses poked through to the back that accent his bouquet of flowers and those on the floor near that cute pink tail.

I hope you like this little guy!

Are there any Bright Spots anywhere?  I seem to have lost my way!

Dressing the Christmas Tree with CSD!

Hello Crafty Sentiments Friends!  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you!  I'm wondering, are you all finished decorating your Christmas trees?  Well, I have to say, not quite, but almost! I have a lovely one for you still from Crafty Sentiments Designs named Dressing the Christmas Tree...oh, he is a doll, isn't he?  He looks so happy!  All dressed up, just like his beautiful tree.  Such a fun stamp to color, measuring about 3.5" by 4.5".  I used Prisma Pencils and lots of Martha Steward's Ultra-fine Glitter on those beautiful snowflakes from my BFF and around the Crafty Sentiments Circle Christmas tag!

Jingle Bell, jingle bell, jingle bell Rock! Remember that song?  Our theme this challenge is Glitter, can you tell?  If you use a CSD image on your Glitter card, you get entered twice for the prize!  Wouldn't that be a fun Christmas present!

Hoping to see you this week at CSD and over at "Craft Inspirations", too.  It's a really great place to go...after you have finished dressing the tree and entering into CSD's Challenge this week, that is!   This challenge will run for 2 weeks to give the DT a Christmas break.

News Flash:  We will be having  a Mega Release celebrated with a Blog Hop beginning January 8th.  You will adore these new releases!  I hope you will join in on the hop, my very first!

See you again soon.  Oh hey, there are lots and lots of Bright Spots on this one!!!

A Crofter's Winter at Fat Pages!

What is a Crofter?  Wikipedia's definition: "croft is a fenced or enclosed area of land, usually small and arable with a crofter's dwelling thereon. A crofter is one who has tenure and use of the land, typically as a tenant farmer."  Cool, isn't it?  And Terry at Delicious Doodles captured the definition perfectly, don't you think?

Using Prisma Pencil and OMS, I used shades of brown-henna, chestnut and umbers, mixed with white.  Added a little mahogany to the cabin to bring it out a little more. This image was different for me to color but fun and enjoyable to make into a Christmas card.  Perfect for a manly man, with the moose ivory bead in the ribbon pin made by Karen C.

My hubby was really pleased with this card.  Oh goodness, I just realized I haven't made him a Christmas card yet!  UH OH!

Without further ado, here is "A Crofter's Winter" by Delicious Doodles:

Come join us this fortnight at Fat Pages and Cards with Attitude!   We are always Anything Goes and love having you show us your card making masterpieces!

I see a bright spot right over there in the left hand corner!

Kenz and Tilly Christmas

Hallo? Hallo? Anyone there?  Are you out Christmas Shopping?

Before I post Kenz and Tilly Christmas, I have some news!  I've decided to stay on at A & T Emerald Faeries.  I love Anita and Tracey, they are the best of challenge owners and I love coloring A & T digital images...with 'loving' it here so much, it finally hit me, why should I leave?  Would be silly of me, don't you think?  So I will be staying on and very grateful for the opportunity.  Thank you Anita and Tracey!  And thank you to those of you who expressed you would miss me.  That sure felt nice.  Okay, on to Challenge 38, Christmas theme, with Kenz & Tilly:

Aren't they sweet?   There is only a Tiny Ticket sentiment that makes this a Christmas Card as I wasn't thinking of what I could use as embellishments when coloring this.  Just knew I was going to use the Polka Dot paper!  Last challenge we'll count as my Christmas Card, K? Kenz & Tilly are colored with Prisma Pencils and a little Glamour Dust added to their wings.  Tiny pearl earrings by WOC; all the cuts by that BFF of mine; the Tiny Ticket is from One Stitch at a Time; and the Angel Pin is from Karen C.  I appreciate so much those beautiful pins she sent me in a surprise package!  And I really like those cuts from my BFF too....cut out paisleys and cut out hearts that you can make free floating. And the flower border cut...isn't it lovely?

There you have it- my Christmas card with Kenz and Tilly!  I will most likely take off the ticket and make it a birthday card! LOLOL

Hoping to see you at over these next two weeks with a Christmas card of your own. It's a busy time of year for sure, but make sure to stop by for some fun challenges  at A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge 2013!  Remember we also have another A & T Challenge that runs opposite fortnights.  You can double your chances of winning these wonderful images.

Merry Christmas to you and your family from A & T Emerald Faeries!

Blessings from

Christmas Angelina

Good Morning!
Only a day late with this One Stitch At A Time post!  Oh my, I do write these things on my calendar, but a person has to look at their calendar for it to be of any use, now don't they?

One Stitch this week is More Than One Fold.  I chose Angelina, by Beary Dust, available in the Stitchy Store.  Angelina isn't a typical Christmas digi but perfect for my brother and his family who aren't typical people!  This is the brother that I did Killer Bo Peep as a Pin-up Girl for his birthday! LOL.

Here is Angelina:

Angelina is an easel card, colored with Prisma Pencils and a little Glamour Dust added to her wings and a few strokes in her hair.  Snowflake cuts by my BFF, in fact the little blue gems from my BFF too, just in time!  The sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments Designs Christmas Circles Collection.

Come join in the fun this week at One Stitch At A Time!  We will be on Christmas break soon, so get in the challenge and win some digis for next year's projects.  It 's so cool shopping the Stitchy Bear Store because you have many artists to choose from- all in one place!

Bright spots everywhere this time of year, aren't there?  For us who don't care for the holidays, I wish you many, many bright spots to lighten your day and nights.

Bye bye for now and see you soon!

A Crafty Snowman and His Friends!

Good morning Everyone!  And how are we today?  LOL...most of you are probably busy gearing up for the holidays.  Making cards for special one's in your life?  Well, well, well, just take a look at what Crafty Sentiments Designs has for you this week!  Let me tell you:

For our Snowman or Lady Challenge this week, If you use a Crafty Sentiments image you will have 2 chances to win..  Also why not join in with our Facebook, Anything Goes challenge, as long as you use a Crafty Sentiments image. Which can be found here.  There is another £10 voucher up for grabs..But hurry you only have 1 more day left for the Facebook Challenge, a new one starts on Friday!  Check out our Crafty Inspirations Blog, too.  We have loads of great ideas and our tutorials are growing each week.  A very cool (get it, Snowman, cool- lol) place to go!

Here is Snowman and Friends:

This guy was so much fun to color with Prisma Pencils.  The fence and Winter Wonderland Sentiment (stuck in the pocket behind him) are from Crafty Sentiments also and can be found here, in our store.  Used some Glamour Dust on the background hill and snowflakes, and Snowwriter and Glamour Dust on the fence and birdhouse.  I added the snow with a paint brush instead of the applicator bottle and it works much better.  The Glamour Dust is fantastic!  Not as heavy as glitter glue and it can be reapplied to increase it's intensity.  A good buy.

Plenty of time to pick up images from CSD and make a few extra special cards and join in CSD's fun!  Sure hope to see you at Facebook, our weekly challenge and the Crafty Inspirations Blog too!  Oh, I almost forgot, if you become a follower of Crafty Inspirations, once we reach 150, another Mystery Prize goes!  The last winner when we hit 130 was super happy!  Congrats Suzie!

Well, Good Day to you, Friends.  Can you pick out the bright spot snowflake?  It's there!

Oops....sorry :-(

Oh my goodness, I have done another Oops...I totally forgot to post this card for One Stitch at a Time on November 25th for their Fabric, Ribbon or Lace Challenge.  I was doing my calendar and found where I had written it down, and thought to myself....did I ever post that?  To my dismay, no.  But, here it is now...Queen of Hearts by Stitchy:

Gosh, it is such a beautiful image.  Colored with Prisma Pencils and gold glitter glue; gold cording twisted from the carousel top; corner die cuts from that BFF of mine and the pin made by Karen C.

This week at One Stitch at a Time the challenge is Anything Goes, the last OSAAT challenge of the year!  If you use an One Stitch image, there are lots of goodies for you to win!  Head on over there!

There has to be a bright spot in here somewhere. I just have to find it!

Little Imp of a Faerie on Mushie

Hello Emerald Faerie Fans!
Aren't these the best digital images ever?  I sure think so. And such a blast to color and play with.  Our theme this go at A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge is "Make an Easel."  We all love easel cards and with Christmas coming, it would be a treat for someone special.  Today I have for you a new little Imp...drawn by our very own Anita!  She is sure a talented one!    All the images used on this card are from the A & T Shop...here is Faerie on Mushie:

We are running a DT Call right now at A & T.  Sadly, I will be stepping down.  I'll miss Anita and Tracy, they have been wonderful.  And I will miss coloring these images.  But no goodbyes yet!  We have one more challenge to go!  I have the pleasure to view your creations a wee bit longer.  See you at Emerald Faeries!

I tried to resist but I just have to say it...watch for Bright Spots!  Especially this time of year when things may not be as we want.  It is now that those Bright Spots are given to us even more; to lighten a heavy heart or make a happy heart leap all the more.  Watch for them, I promise they are there!

Fa La La La La La, it's Christmas Song!

Whew!  I had to count my "La"s to make sure I had the right amount. I think I left out 4- LOL!  This week at Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge we have a wonderful prize AND if you enter using a Crafty Sentiments image, you are entered twice!  Check out our CSD Challenge blog, you are sure to be inspired by this week's Design Team artwork.  They are amazing.  But we have to start with amazing images, and Crafty Sentiments are certainly that!  Look around the store, we have the cutest Christmas stamps and digital images anywhere!  Truth!

For my "Thanks" card, I used Christmas Song.  The Thoughtful sentiment is from CSD's Spring Sentiment Set.  Christmas Song is a  stamp about 3.5"x4."  Very nice size for coloring.  I used Prisma Pencils to color and Snowwriter with glitter on top for the tree snow and the snowballs.  I say snowballs because my snowflakes turned into snowballs- lol :(.   Okay, here we go with Christmas Song by Crafty Sentiments Designs:

I love coloring these CSD stamps so much!  You will too, I just know it!  Well, that is it for me so I will say good bye.  Sure hope to see you at our CSD Challenge.  I sure enjoy seeing what you have made.  Watch out for Snowballs, umm, I mean Bright Spots!

La Luna Lupa

I am just 'howling' to show you this as I am so excited how this turned out.  It is a gift for my sister's birthday in December...she hits the big 55.  Oh she is going to be so mad at me that I told!  We are not allowed to mention her age! LOLOL  Sorry Sis, I just told quite a few people! LOLOL!!!!!

Here is La Luna Lupa, The Wolf Moon, by Delicious Doodles:

I'm not sure what that mark is on her hair but it brushed off, thank goodness.

OH, I almost forgot!  This is my project for ATC's and Cards with Attitude Challenge this fortnight!  Colored with Prisma Pencils, cut and placed on a punched out moon (the image comes with a moon) then on suede and card stock.  The charm is a belly ring!  I'm not saying a thing more about the belly ring-lol!) The suede patches in the corners, one is 'sisters', the other 'wolf'' and 'moon' in Plains Indian symbols.  I found the feather in a special place but I'm not sure what kind of bird it is from.

I hope to see you at ATC's and Cards with Attitude!  Bye for now.  Watch for Bright Spots.  Someday you will get tired of me saying that and give in and tell me one!

Colored her with Prisma Pencils and used some glitter glue with Glossy Accents covering it for her dress.  The floating hearts and snowflakes are more cuts from my BFF!  She is some BFF, eh?  I love this and think Holly Fairy makes the perfect Christmas card!

Kayla & Twinkie

Hello Emerald Faerie Fans!
I have a fun project to share with you today! Our A & T Emerald Faeries theme!  It is a Sketch Challenge, by our very own (drum roll please, Maestro!)....Anita!  Yes, the "A" in A & T Emerald Faeires Digitals and Challenges!  Here is Anita's Sketch:

Cool sketch, isn't it?  I am sure I will follow this one again!  And here is my rendition of Anita's Sketch...

using Kayla & Twinkie!  Isn't this the most adorable image?  Love it!  I bet Twinkie is the one in blue, yes?  Such a fun image to color.   That gorgeous pink flower stem up the left side is a die cut sent from my super talented and beautiful BFF and those gorgeous pins are from the very talented and lovely Karen C, another good friend.  Friends in High Places...is that the name of the Country song?  Well, it's rounding it's way in my head now!  Oh wait, one of the song lines is "I Have Friends In Low Places, where the whisky flows"...something like that!  Sorry BFF and Karen! LOLOL!!! Don't you love it when you crack yourself up, finding yourself laughing at your own jokes!  Oh my gosh, I need to get out of the house more! No kidding!

Anyway, we sure hope to see you at A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge this next fortnight.  I really enjoy looking at your wonderful artwork.  Such talent.  And if you enter, following this great sketch by Anita, you may win some Emerald Faeries of your own!

Watch for those Bright Spots...they hang out in low places...a lot!
