Penny's Joy!

Good day, Friends!

It's Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge time!  It's a JOY to bring you our challenge and theme- "Make a Joy-Fold!"  Being mentally challenged lately, (lately- haha!) I just couldn't picture this fold...but once done, it really is a simple and fun fold to make!  Give it a try.  I think you will really en-JOY the results!

Emily Amphitrite!

Happy Sunday (or Monday!) Friends!

This is such a fun post!  I have the honor of being a Guest Design Team Member for Lacy Sunshine Challenges!  The fun part is showing you the image I had the joy to work with- Emily Amphitrite!  Emily is from Heather's (the artist) new Mythology Collection, available in the Lacy Sunshine Shop.  

I had to look up the word "Amphitrite" seeing that I am not a mythology expert, or even a novice (lol).  Seems Amphitrite is a sea-godess from Greek mythology (is there another?) and the wife of Poseidon under the influence of the Olympian pantheon.  I should have known that!  I also discovered that no less than 7 ships of the Royal Navy are named HMS Amphitrite, frigates in both the United States and French Navies, an asteroid and in baby name books!   There is something I do know- Emily Amphitrite was soooo soooo fun to color and make up into a card!

Hi!

PS  Sort of a scarey night here with tornadoes all around us!  Another day and night of tornado watches to go.  Shawnee, OK was wiped out last night and they need lots of Bright Spots, if you would remember them.

I have to laugh at this card- I couldn't figure out how to make my image into a card for a child so as you see it says "Little Sister," well, my little sister is 56 years old!  SSSShhhhhhh!!!

 We've had a few days of warm sunshine- yay!!!  Rain is due again but it's a warm storm so that's fine with me.  After all, the farmer's need the water!  The thunderstorms are beautiful here.

Happy Mother's Day, Friends!  Even if not celebrating, I do wish you a day of being spoiled like crazy!

Wishing you LOTS of Bright Spots this coming week!  

Mooning Morris- Bullseye!

Hey Everyone!

How are you?  Doing well, I hope.  We are a little water soaked at the moment but it's warmer, so that's a treat!

Today it's "Mooning Morris- Bullseye!"  You can find Morris at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge.  He is a free digi given by request from the artist, Heather Valentin.  Heather's artwork is wonderful!  Full of gnomes, wide-eyed girls and other mystical and whimsical "friends."  You've GOT to check her work out- you will fall in love with her characters!

The theme at Lacy Sunshine Challenge is "Monochrome," so I've done Morris up in browns. 

 

I added the "butt..." thinking on the inside of the card I could write either, "I'm sorry," or "I love you," depending on the situation! LOL

I just had to take a little detour from DT work and color this little guy.  I am excited to see Heather's next free digi!

RRib-itt! Rrib-itt!

Rrib-itt!

That's frog-speak for "Hello, Friends!"  I was thinking on that "rrib-itt," frogs, bugs and summer sounds.  We live out in the countryside, and most often the night sounds get sooo loud!  Between frogs, crickets, grasshoppers and cicadas, sometimes you can't hear the other person talk! LOL  Beautiful sounds, I think.  Reminds me of being young and the special treat of playing outside late on a warm summer night.  My hubby would catch fireflies in a jar.  Love watching those fireflies.  But alas, now it's hard to stay awake past 8 pm! LOLOL

Forever Friends "Pout"

Good Day!

Some of you have a holiday today- I hope you've enjoyed the long weekend!  Our holiday here in the States is May 27th, Memorial Day.  It is to remember our fallen soldiers but the day is also often used to remember all those that have passed on in our lives.  It's a somber day.  The 28th of May is my difficult day, if you would please remember me.

But hey!!!  Right now we have a new Forever Friends Challenge for you!  The theme this fortnight is "Pastels."  We are being sponsored by the incredible "Whoopsi Daisy," with our Forever Friends Favorite sponsor being "Oak Pond Creations."

Oh goodness, pastels was a tough one for me! LOL  Please forgive this layout as I am first, lacking in supplies, and second, not really a pastel person...found that out when making this! LOL
