Barry has the Love Sick Blues

Hi There!

You will not believe this!  Well, maybe you will...I had one minute left to get this posted to Divas by Design, my computer mesed up, the pic disc wouldn't work, but I made it!  Diva is having a Sketch Challenge I have had my eye on, but I have been a little under the weather, working on this card at all odd hours of night and day, but I made it!!!  Yahoo, is all I have to say!  While I am at it, I am going to enter a few more challenges which are posted below.

IDIC: Challenge #92 MAKE IT SPARKLE The flower is full of clear Stickles with gems around the heart. Sparkle is good!

DRS Designs Challenge #9 using,....drum roll please....HEARTS!

Little Miss Muffet Doing something a little different-use cremes and blues!

Moving Along With the Times Their theme is Blooming Marvelous (Simply Maaa-va-lis darlink!)

Pixie Dust Studio Let's go to the Zoo theme!  Fun! I love my dog Ulee. But Barry on my card should work for a zoo animal.  Do they have blue bears at the zoo?

Make It Monday  This is a fun linky party and the theme this week is Anything Goes.  Go and comment on the  beautiful creations by other crafters!  Great idea, huh?

To make Barry, I used a freebie image from the Stamp Fairy.  He is really cute.  I hand-made the rose, colored it with Copics and Stickled the edges.  Along with the rose, I made a 3-D dragon fly, also colored with Copics.  The rhinestones are from Kaiser and the paper from DCWV Animal Crackers Matstack. 

Whew!  Now all I have to do is hope my links work!  Oh, and clean up my mess!!!!  Have a great evening, ya all.  Bye for now!

Patchwork Angel

Good Morning!
I saw a challenge at Digital Tuesdays  called "New Beginnings", and the rules said to interpret New Beginnings as you think.  Well, I don't have any traditional New Beginnings but I did revamp an image using the same elements, so I would say that qualifies as a New Beginning!  Here is my first go of it, made flat and without layers, embellishments, etc for a reason (UGH! It was hard!) :

 and the new card:

Now, I have to say the second was WAY more fun and the flat card WAY harder to make!
All the supplies are simple, used basically from stash, well, actually just ink, water color pencils, glue and paper!  Oh, and a piece of stash ribbon.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek :-)  Have a blessed day!

You know how you follow link after link after link and you stumble upon a great site or two?  Well, that has just happened this morning!  And I love it!  One site is named Jacque's Joie de Vivre and she dabbles in Magnolia Stamps.  I have always loved them but unfortunately, a little out of my price range BUT Jacque gives a stamp as blog candy each week!  You can find her site here http://jacquesmagnolias.blogspot.com/.  I think you will enjoy her.  The next site I stumbled upon is Krafty Hugz, http://kraftyhugzz.blogspot.com/2012/01/some-candy.html.  She also has blog candy for the next two days that she is giving out of her own stash!  Can you believe that?  I hoard everything I can get my hands on!  Anyway, I think they are both delightful sites and worth mentioing.  So check them out!

Hello Friends!

Hi everyone.  I hope you are having a blessed day!  I'm not posting a card at the moment because I have been in a little bit of a creating slump.  Anyway, I have my digis all ready to be printed, with ideas in my head of what I will do with them after coloring, so maybe I am on my way up!  Yea!  I don't know what I would do without making cards, touching paper and color, letting others know I care special for them, so I am super happy!  (I really do know what I would do without making cards...stare at my card making supplies most of the day, thinking "what can I make?" and then head off to bed sad.  Oh, poor me!  LOL!)

I also wanted to share that I won a challenge!  From Alota Stamps.  Super cute stamps and fun challenges!  That's really what I sat down to write to you and to give Alota a huge thank you.  Also to my new friend, Chrissy, in New Zealand.  She has helped to get me motivated again...thank you, Chrissy!  You can find her absolutely beautiful cards here at Chrissy's Cardland .    You'll be wowed by her talent!

I want to thank you all for leaving such wonderful comments.  You are so encouraging.  These are my first challenges and its kinda scary!  Wondering if I can even compete.  But hey, that isn't really why we create, right?  But it is fun to enter the challenges!  And I am so excited when I see a comment and about hit the roof when I got not one, not two, but three followers!  Even from France!  Soooo fun!

I am wondering...how do you go about finding and picking the challenge you will enter?

I also have a question on background papers- I have lots of pads of patterned paper but they just don't seen to "have it,"  Any suggestions for patterned paper?  And do you get double-sided?
