Kenz and Tilly Christmas

Hallo? Hallo? Anyone there?  Are you out Christmas Shopping?

Before I post Kenz and Tilly Christmas, I have some news!  I've decided to stay on at A & T Emerald Faeries.  I love Anita and Tracey, they are the best of challenge owners and I love coloring A & T digital images...with 'loving' it here so much, it finally hit me, why should I leave?  Would be silly of me, don't you think?  So I will be staying on and very grateful for the opportunity.  Thank you Anita and Tracey!  And thank you to those of you who expressed you would miss me.  That sure felt nice.  Okay, on to Challenge 38, Christmas theme, with Kenz & Tilly:

Aren't they sweet?   There is only a Tiny Ticket sentiment that makes this a Christmas Card as I wasn't thinking of what I could use as embellishments when coloring this.  Just knew I was going to use the Polka Dot paper!  Last challenge we'll count as my Christmas Card, K? Kenz & Tilly are colored with Prisma Pencils and a little Glamour Dust added to their wings.  Tiny pearl earrings by WOC; all the cuts by that BFF of mine; the Tiny Ticket is from One Stitch at a Time; and the Angel Pin is from Karen C.  I appreciate so much those beautiful pins she sent me in a surprise package!  And I really like those cuts from my BFF too....cut out paisleys and cut out hearts that you can make free floating. And the flower border cut...isn't it lovely?

There you have it- my Christmas card with Kenz and Tilly!  I will most likely take off the ticket and make it a birthday card! LOLOL

Hoping to see you at over these next two weeks with a Christmas card of your own. It's a busy time of year for sure, but make sure to stop by for some fun challenges  at A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge 2013!  Remember we also have another A & T Challenge that runs opposite fortnights.  You can double your chances of winning these wonderful images.

Merry Christmas to you and your family from A & T Emerald Faeries!

Blessings from

Sweet Butterfly and Poppies

Hello my Friends!
This is my very first post for Crafty Sentiments Designs!  I made the Design Team!  Yipee!  I am so excited and very honored to have been chosen to be on such a classy, super talented, fantastic images, all-around wonderful Design Team as Crafty Sentiments!  I was shaking in me boots, wondering if I would make the cut....lo and behold, I received my email a few weeks back.  I hit the roof, running to my hubby (after writing my best friend), "I made it!  I made it!"  My hubby just didn't get it- lol!  I'm sure you understand what I am saying.  A sweetheart but not with things that are important in this world, like card making and design teams! LOL  He loves politics, yet so do I, that at least gives us both something to get excited about!  Speaking of politics, the theme for Crafty Sentiments Challenge is Poppies.  I was thinking to myself, "I wonder why poppies?"  Then I remembered the older men years ago standing in front of stores selling paper poppies to pin on one's lapel.  It is done in remembrance of our Veterans.  Then I read that in the UK and Australia, they celebrate this day in November, thus the poppy theme, me thinks anyway!  I haven' t seen any men selling poppies for ages.  I think this is because most of the World War II Veterans's here in America have passed on.  My Dad is a World War II Veteran and he is 86 now.  We all love our Veteran's, no matter where we live, don't we?  Thank you Veteran's and Active Service Men and Women for protecting us.  Without further comment from me, here is my Crafty Sentiment card, using the stamp Sweet Butterfly:

She is sweet, isn't she?  Sweet Butterfly is a stamp about 3 1/2" by 5".  You can get her and many other divine stamps and digitals from the Crafty Sentiment Designs Store.  She is colored with Prisma Pencils.  Added french knots to the poppies and her paper-pieced hair bow.  The pearled pin up there in the ribbon corner was a gift from my friend Karen CThank you, Karen!  The winner of our Poppy challenge will receive an extra this week, a L10 Voucher to spend at the Crafty Sentiments Store!  Quite a nice win, don't you think?

Such a flurry of posts over the past few days, now all will be quiet from me for a bit.  I feel like I have forgotten something important.  Well anyway, you are important and I hope to see your makes on our Poppy challenge.  I love looking at your creations, knowing how much you put into each.  While there, look at my teamie's projects as you are sure to be inspired.  They are a very talented bunch!  And always, remember to watch for Bright Spots!  Please share one with me...would so love to hear.  Haven't had a share yet!

Christmas Nutcracker

My last hello and post for you today, Friends....this time from ATC's and Cards with Attitude!  This fortnight our theme is Add A Tag or Sentiment, or you can enter as Anything Goes.  Gets me confused sometimes! lol Happens easily.  I think that is why my nickname of Goof Ball and Silly Sissy.  I don't mind as it keeps me amused in my head! lol  Oh I have been full of nonsense today!  Let's get on with it.....here is Christmas Nutcracker by Saturated Canary, one of our sponsors this fortnight.  The other is A & T Digital Designs, the store with those unique fairy images.  Wow, to win from either of these sponsors will be a real treat!

Goodness, this is the cutest image!  Colored with Prisma Pencils.  The Tiny Ticket tag was taken from the Stitchy Bear Store.  Such a handy and great Christmas tag set.  I hope you like this sweet Saturated Canary card.

My Friends, I am wishing you the best weekend and coming week.   I just know there will be Bright Spots for you.   Be on the look out for them, they are there waiting for you to notice.  Bye Bye for now!

ps see all those beautiful snowflakes all glittered up?  They were sent to me by my special New Zealand friend, along with many other cuts I use on my cards.  You can see this very talented and lovely Lady's work here.  She really is a gem.   Oh I almost forgot, she also bought me this image as a gift!  She truly is a special one.

Nut-Cracker!

Hello again, Friends!
Now we are on to Fat Pages and Cards with Attitude!  Our theme this fortnight is "Thanks for the Bling."  Sort of a play on Thanksgiving, but with our fans who do not celebrate Thanksgiving in mind.  Clever, eh?  LOL.  Oh dear, I remember now that Abbie didn't really know what Bling was so she changed the theme to Add A Sentiment or Tag, the same as our sister challenge, ATC's and Cards with Attitude.  But I did mine with Bling in mind. LOL  But of real importance, you can follow the theme or do Anything Goes!  We always have Anything Goes.  That way you can do your Christmas cards early or a birthday coming up. Very convient challenge with such fantastic sponsor images for you to win.  This fortnight our sponsors are Sassy Studio Designs, My Grafico and my very own DT, A & T Digital Designs (who has the images of the post just below this one).

I colored this Sassy Studio Designs image, The Nutcracker, with Prisma Pencils.  Here she is in all her glory, just dancing away.  Oh wait a sec, I've never seen the Nutcracker play, can anyone tell me what it is about?  In pictures I have seen, a Ballerina is dancing and singing to the Toy Soldier.  I wonder what she is saying to him......

No reason not to see you at Fat Pages and ATC Challenges!  Please drop by and check us out.  We have wonderful inspiration from our very talented DT and the best sponsors ever!  Oh and Top 3 too!  New changes are coming also, so it is all very exciting at these two challenge.  Most important is that we love seeing what you create!

Bye bye for now.  Remember those Bright Spots!

PS I have to give credit to Karen C, who made the pin poking in the ribbon.  Isn't the netting just perfect for the image?   You can visit her blog to see her fab cards and also the link to her Etsy store where she sells her pins.  You have to go and look!  You will ewwww and ahhhhh at all the lovelies she has!   (she also sent me the flourish that I colored with a clear Stardust gel pen)

Boo & Snookie

Hello!
A & T Emerald Fairy Girl speaking.  But I have a question...as you look at this wonderful image, can you tell me which one is Boo and which one is Snookie???  I would so love to know your answers!  Either way, isn't this a fantastic image by A & T?  Sooooo love to color these images.  This fortnight challenge is "Add A Charm."  See the charm around Boo's, or is it Snookie's, neck?  Colored this up with good ol' Prisma Pencils.  Wouldn't "Are we there yet?," be a perfect sentiment?  I had two other snails to add but they wouldn't fit.  Bummer. LOL.  Stop by A & T Emerald Faeries Challenge and look at the other DT artwork.  Such a talented group and you are sure to be inspired to join us.  Hoping to see you there!  Without further nonsense from me, here is Boo & Snookie:

All of the images used are from the A & T Store!  Made quite a little Fairy Land, eh?

Bye for now, Friends.  A special thank you to my new followers.  I was really shocked to see you and truthfully, you made me feel very good.  A thank you too to those who always take the time to leave me a comment, whether I am in your challenge or not.  All of my Followers are wonderfully talented artists and it is quite a compliment that you would follow me!

Remember to look for the Bright Spots!  Please tell me one or two.  Would love to hear of them.  Onward to the next DT post!

Well, Fancy that!

Hi again!
For now, I am only posting the image from our sponsor, Stitchy Bear, at Fat Pages Cards with Attitude Challenge.  I'll be back later to finish up with the details.  Her name is Fancy.  Did you guess that already?

I lost the cat, found him in my coffee, dried him off and stuck him in place.  Now that's something to think about until I get back! LOL!!!

NEWS FLASH- Fat Pages and also at ATC's, we have a new Design Team member....TA Dum....Chrissy of Chrissy's Cardland!  Oh, my dear, she is a talented one!  We are amazingly blessed that she said yes to joining our team.  Stop by and see her most lovely  artwork.  She will be bringing you many delightful cards.  I hope you stop by her blog, look around and give her a big welcome!

Our sponsor this week other than Stitchy Bear is My Grafico.  We have the very best sponsors!  Be sure to join us.  As always, our famous, or is it infamous?  I get them confused, lol, anyway, our famous Anything Goes theme, or/and Halloween.  I've never done a Halloween card before and I have to say, it was fun!  I won't bore you with details, just that I've colored Fancy up with Prisma pencils.  Such a fun image! Oh dear, I almost forgot, the Light Post!  Isn't it fantastic?  It came compliments of TLC!  Another fantastic company.  Follow TLC and sign up for the emails...you will get free surprises everyday.  Good surprises, not funky ones!  And if you would like to contact me, my email is at the top left side-bar.

Until next time, how many things can you think of that use Fancy....there are songs, sayings, .....  Chrissy wrote that I lost my cat in my coffee because of the bourbon in my cup.  I wrote her back that the bourbon is in my second cup!  LOL  Just teasin'!  I don't even drink alcohol!

Many bright spots are my wish for you.

Hello again!
I've decided not to bore you any longer with all the details on how I've put a card together unless I've done something special.   If you would like to know anything about a card I've done, I'd love for you to email me!  My email address is at the top on the right side-bar.

Our other sponsors this fortnight are Beccy's Place and  Fresh Brewed Designs.  Isn't it fantastic that we have more than one sponsor?  And our famous Anything Goes challenges!  Or do up a Halloween Card, they are a fun change.   It is such a delight to see what you create!

Bye bye for now.  Watch out, bright spots coming your way!

Majestic Mountains...sort of!

Hello there my Crafting Buddies!

I have a new Design Team card to share with you this fine morning.  I have joined up with Craft A Scene- a wonderfully different monthly challenge!  As our name explains, the themes are scene based.  In past challenges there have been themes such as Trees, Trees, Trees and The Great Outdoors, Anything Goes.  You get the idea!  And the Design Team is out of this world talented!  I am so very honored to have been chosen to be on the Craft A Scene team.

This month our theme is Majestic Mountains.  We want to see your most creative Majestic Mountains!  Coming next month, we will have very special sponsors for you to win from.  This month, create Majestic Mountains and be a a Top 3 Winner!  I often prefer that over winning goodies!  Do you?

Here is my Craft A Scene creation:

The scene is done with Prisma Pencils, using a Snow Writer by DecoArt for the mountaintop snow.  I had the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountain Range of California in mind.  The Simple Scarecrow was a freebie from Rick St Dennis.  The butterflies are from Delicious Doodles.  They are beautiful digital images.  They were reduced in size so as to make them 3-D for this card.  Drew up pumpkins and leaves, added Glossy Accents to them and the scarecrow pumpkin head, and placed crows flying about the sky.  Oh, and a fence made of some wood chips from an old weathered box.  Mounted with foam squares onto an easel card.  That is it!  I added "sort of" to the title because I would have liked the mountains to be more of the focal point.   I hope you like it anyway!

I'll be back on the 1st and 2nd Sunday of every month with a new creation for you.  All of us at Craft A Scene post the first Sunday,.  I post the 2nd Sunday also, and others of the DT will be posted weekly throughout the month.  So hop over to the Craft A Scene site often to see amazing artwork.

Scenes are so very fun to make.  Give one a go!  You will love it!  I do hope to see your majestic mountain creation over at Craft A Scene.  I bet you can create some beauties.  Until then, hoping for special bright spots in your upcoming week!  Bye bye for now.

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head!

Sing it with me- Rain drops keep falling on my head, da, da, da....I have forgotten the rest of the words!  But now the song will be swirling in our heads for awhile!  Catchy tune, eh?  Now you know the theme to this week's challenge over at One Stitch At A Time- Music or a Song.  Fun theme, isn't it?  I'm not sure who our sponsor is this week, but as always, it is sure to be a good one!

Here is Delayed Delivery by Floppy Latte Designs, available in the Stitchy Store:

Cute little guy isn't he?  All is colored with Prisma Pencils.  Added some free floating hearts with brads; stamped a hug ticket and miss you sentiment with stamps from my stash; printed out the music sheet found on the internet; cut hearts and a butterfly from the same music sheet.

This was a very fun card to make.  I hope you like it.  And I hope that no raindrops will be falling on YOUR head!

See you over at OSAAT!  I'm looking forward to seeing what you make.  Make sure to note what song you are using on your project.  Then YOUR song will be swirling in our heads!

I'll be back on Friday with posts from ATC and Fat Pages.  Until then, I hope bright spots fall on your head!  A whole thunderstorm of them!
